In honor of Cinco de Mayo we have rounded up some festive sips infused with unbelievable flavors, also known as delicious reasons to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. This ultimate cocktails for Cinco de Mayo guide includes everything: From bitter, to honey, tropical and fruity, to spicy, as well as low calorie options. Interestingly enough, Cinco de Mayo is more widely celebrated in the US than in Mexico. Therefore, we figured it would be exciting to share a few delicious twists to some agave-based sips. Perhaps sample a shot or two, of mezcal, as an alternative to the traditional margarita.
If throwing a party, infuse the décor with key colors that scream festive and perhaps a boozy Piñata! Add fresh salsas and guac to your tacos and empanadas and remember to add salted rim as a garnish- it elevates any drink.
Ultimate Cocktails For Cinco de Mayo
Tangerine Chile Gran Paloma
• 2 oz Gran Centenario® Añejo Tequila
• 2 oz Fresh Tangerine Juice
• 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
• 1 oz Chile de Árbol Agave Syrup
• Seltzer Water
• Garnish: Salt Rim
Rim double rocks glass with salt. Add ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into glass over fresh ice. Top with seltzer water and garnish with a tangerine slice.
- 1.5 oz PATRÓN Silver infused with jalapeño*
- .5 oz Flavor puree (blood orange, mango or fresh beet)
- 3 oz Lime juice
- Salt rim
- Lime wedge and sliced jalapeño for garnish
Combine all ingredients over ice in a shaker. Shake and strain into a salt rimmed double old fashioned glass.
*Patrón Silver infused with jalapeño instructions:
Add 2 whole jalapeños cut down the middle and deseeded into 1 bottle of Patrón Silver.
Let rest for 12 hours.
Patron Perfect Margarita
- 1.5 oz PATRÓN Silver
- 1 oz Citrónge Orange Liqueur
- .75 oz Fresh lime juice
- .25 oz Simple syrup
- Lime wedge for garnish
- Kosher salt (optional)
Combine liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously with ice to chill. Strain onto fresh ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a lime wedge. Optionally, salt half the rim of the glass with kosher salt.
- 2 oz Tequila Cazadores Blanco
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 4 oz Grapefruit Soda
- 1 Pinch Salt
Add all ingredients into a salted highball glass filled with ice. Stir with a spoon. Garnish with a lime wedge.
- 1 oz Cantera Negra Café
- 2 oz Espresso
- .24oz sweet condensed milk
Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously. Double strain into chilled coup or martini glass. Garnish with cinnamon powder.
Mezcal & Sangrita
- .5 oz Mezcal Creyente
- .5 oz Sangrita*
- Chili and Orange to Garnish
Method: Pour one shot of Mezcal Creyente. In another shot glass, pour a shot of sangrita. Garnish with an orange slice dipped in chili salt – optional.
*To make sangrita: combine 5 oz orange juice, 1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice, 2 dashes hot sauce and a pinch of salt over ice and stir. Strain into a small pitcher.
Blood Orange Margarita
- 2 oz. Corralejo Reposado Tequila
- 3 oz. Fresh Blood Orange Juice
- ¾ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 oz. Simple Syrup
Garnish- Blood Orange Slice and Sea Salt
Method:Rub the rim of an old fashioned glass (or a similar vessel you prefer to drink out of) with an edge of a blood orange slice. Swirl the rim through a small pile of kosher or sea salt to salt the rim.
Combine all ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker and shake for 15 seconds. Place a few cubes of ice in the salted glass. Strain the cocktail into the glass and enjoy.
- 2 oz jalapeno-infused Corralejo Silver Tequila
- .75 oz blueberry syrup
- .75 oz Chambord liqueur
- 2 oz sweet and sour
- Pop rock rim, to garnish
- 3 skewered blueberries, to garnish
Fill shaker with ice. Measure and pour all ingredients into the shaker. Shake well, and pour entire contents of shaker into garnished bucket glass.

Pancho Villa Margarita
- 1.5 parts Los Arango Blanco
- ¾ parts fresh lime juice
- ½ parts agave nectar
- 1 lime wedge
Combine Los Arango Blanco, fresh lime juice, agave nectar into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Cuando Quieras- Bar Ciudad
- .5 ounces Avion Silver Tequila
- .5 ounce Cocchi Americano
- .5 ounce Amaro Montenegro
- 2 dashes Scrappy’s Celery Bitters
Stir and serve in a small rocks glass with a lemon twist.

- .5 oz Avion Silver Tequila
- .75 oz prickly pear puree
- .5 oz agave syrup
- 1 oz lime
- .5 oz ancho reyes chile
- Muddled cilantro
- Salt sugar cayenne rim
In a tin muddle a bunch of cilantro, add all the ingredients and shake shortly, rim your DOF with sugar/salt/cayenne mix and double strain. Add ice to fill. Garnish with lime peel rosette.
- .5 oz Mezcal Creyente
- 1 oz Espresso
- 1 oz Simple Syrup
- Pinch of Cacao Powder
- Dash of Angostura Bitters
Combine all of the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a pinch of cocao powder and an orange twist.
- 1 oz tequila
- 1 oz lime juice
- 2 oz can Rekorderlig Strawberry-Lime
- 2 – 3 strawberries
- chili flakes
- lime wedge
Coat the rim of a tall drinking glass with lime, salt and chili flakes. Pour in tequila, lime juice and Rekorderlig Strawberry-Lime and stir. Garnish with chopped fresh strawberries.
Mango Basil Margarita

- 2 oz of Casamigos Blanco Tequila
- 1 oz of mango basil puree*
- .75 oz of lime juice
*Mango Basil Puree
- 6 cups of mango puree
- .25 parts of basil
- .5 parts of agave
- 2 oz of vodka
Shake all ingredients with 5-6 ice cubes. Without using a strainer, pour the entire contents into a rimmed rocks glass.

- .5 oz. London Dry Gin
- .75 oz. lavender syrup
- .5 oz. Benedictine
- .5 oz. lemon
- 2 dash peach bitters
- 2 dash Angostura bitters
Shake all ingredients together and strain into a glass piled high with crushed ice. Garnish with a sprig of lavender.
Skinny Strawberry Margarita
- Cascade Ice Strawberry Watermelon
- Triple Sec
- Lime Juice
In a cocktail shaker combine ice, 2 cups of Cascade Ice Strawberry Watermelon, 1 cup of tequila, 1 cup of triple sec and half a cup of lime juice. Add a sugar rim to your glass with the juice from a lime and pour in the margarita mixture to enjoy.
Frozen Pink Grapefruit Margarita
- Cascade Ice Pink Grapefruit
- Triple Sec
- Lime Juice
In a blender add 2 cups of Cascade Ice Pink Grapefruit, 1 cup of triple sec, 1 cup of tequila, half a cup of lime juice and ice. Blend until it reaches a slushy consistency then divide among cocktail glasses. Line the rim of each glass with lime juice and dip in salt. You can also sprinkle in a touch of salt in each glass if you prefer.
Orange Mango Margarita

- Cascade Ice Orange Mango
- Triple Sec
In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, 2 cups of Cascade Ice Orange Mango, 1 cup tequila and triple sec, juice from half a lime and a small squeeze of orange. Add the mixture to a salted glass with an orange wedge for garnish!
