Madewell Opens Location In Meatpacking District
The month of September in New York always brings us excitement: New York Fashion Week, the debut of noteworthy restaurants and the opening of retail stores. Today, one of our favorite retailers, Madewell is celebrating the opening their 5th location in the New York City area at 69 Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District. Meatpacking District is probably one of the hippest eight blocks in Manhattan with the beautiful cobble stone streets, trendy nightlife, boutiques, The Whitney Museum and the Highline. So having the cool-girl retail store nestled in this area makes perfect sense! The store highlights the newly released Fall 2016 collection so get ready to shop. It also features a denim bar, showcasing Madewell’s complete selection of denim and a monogram shop equipped to give customers on-the-spot embossing on leather purchases.
This evening, from 6-8pm Madewell is holding an event that is open to the public with tunes spun by Tennessee Thomas, and treats by local faves Bubby’s, Ample Hills Creamery and Milk Bar. Also, Mood X Moss will provide Aura Portrait sessions in-store. To assist with creating the perfect fall looks, styling sessions are being offered by Waiting for Saturday. In addition, B.Kaspr will be present for hand-painted live monogramming on leather. Added bonus: 10 percent of this evening’s proceeds will benefit Friends of the High Line. Can’t make it this evening? Not to worry, Bkaspr, Mood x Moss and Ample Hills will be at the Meatpacking store through Sunday 9/11.
