How to Celebrate Burns Night in Style

The Cocktails

Tam O’Shanter

Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz. Laphroaig® Select Scotch Whisky
1/2 oz. Drambuie® Liqueur
1 oz. Bordeaux Red Wine
3 dashes Orange Bitters
Orange Peel (for garnish)

Method:

Add all ingredients together in a mixing glass and stir. Next, strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass (served up). Garnish with a flamed orange twist.

Ode to Whisky Sour

Ingredients:

2 oz. Laphroaig® 10 Year Old Scotch Whisky
3/4 oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 oz. Honey Syrup
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Ginger Beer

Method:

Combine all ingredients except for ginger beer into shaking tin and dry shake. Next, pour over ice in Collins glass. Top cocktail with ginger beer. Garnish with lime wedge or orange half wheel.

Rabbie Burns

Ingredients:

2 oz. Arran Robert Burns Whisky
.5oz. Benedictine
.5oz. Sweet Vermouth
3 dashes Bitter Truth Drops & Dashes
Absinthe

Method:

Rinse the glass (coupe) with absinthe. Combine all ingredients and stir. Pour into coupe and garnish with lemon zest.

Ae Fond Kiss

Ingredients:

2 oz. Arran 10yr
.25 oz St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur
1 Bar Spoon Burnt Sugar & Cinnamon Syrup
3 Dashes Bar Keep Green Apple Bitters

Method:

Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass. Pour over big ice cube into crystal glass and garnish with Lemon Zest.

This light malt can be enjoyed alone, with water or ice. It features sweet and creamy notes of honey, toffee-glazed pecans and fresh summer fruits.

Arran 10 Year Old Single Malt

The 10 year-highlights notes of vanilla, citrus and orchard fruits to create a smooth and mellow dram.

Arran 21 Year Old Single Malt

This is the oldest expression of the Arran single malt. The warm gold complex expression involves notes of dark chocolate, sweet spice with a hint of bitter orange. It is a limited edition with only 9,000 bottles available.

Machrie Moor 46%

A peated expression is also a limited edition with 15,000 bottles offered with notes of vanilla, raspberry jam, and fresh fruit with an extra punch of peat smoke on the finish .

Laphroaig Lore

Imagine a Laphroaig whisky matured in five unique casks ranging from 7 to 21 years. It creates a rich, and complex gem.

Laphroaig Quarter Cask

Notes of toffee and caramel are involved in this expression offering a long finish that alternates between sweetness and smoke.

Laphroaig Caidreas Fino Cask

Toast with friends this expression that was first matured in bourbon casks and then in Fino Sherry casks. It involves notes of toasted almonds, dried fruit and sea salt.
