Adidas Originals Unveils New NYC Store On Spring Street
Last night, Adidas originals celebrated the opening of their new NYC flagship store located at 115 Spring Street by enlisting the help of hip hop artist Joey Bada$$ and members of the Pro Era Collective including Kirk Knight, CJ Fly, and Nyck Caution. The four New York born musicians performed a bit of a farewell concert at the now closed Wooster Street location while debuting the newest flagship on Spring Street. The 2,540 square foot space is highlighted with raw aesthetics like exposed original brick walls, steel columns and reclaimed items mixed with locally sourced artwork to fill the space.
The store will house limited-edition runs, as well exclusive capsule collections and designer collaborations for women, men and children. For the launch of the Adidas Originals flagship, a New York specific colorway of the NMD style will be offered exclusively through Adidas confirmed App. To interact with sneakerheads, listening stations are fixed on either side of seating area, creating an intimate connection with customers. The store’s basement was repurposed as an activation space, playing a chief role in linking and celebrating New York’s street culture and style that embodies the Adidas Originals’ spirit so look out for special events and installations at this location.
