We Found The Next Brunch & Date Night Restaurant To Dine This Week
New York is famous for its food scene, which we love. It allows us the opportunity to sample amazing cuisines by sea and land from a myriad of regions. Whether you’re looking for a stylish destination for brunch with the crew, or an appealing scene for date night, this city has many. NYC’s restaurant, Fava Bistro is the latest eatery to experience this season. Located in the heart of the West Village on the unique corner of 7th Avenue South near Barrow Street is a duplex Mediterranean restaurant. The two-storied space highlights floor-to-ceiling windows that open when the weather permits, with white washed walls and teal accents transporting you to the Greek islands.
Start with drinks at the handsome bar like the Oaxaca Smash, involving Ilegal mezcal joven, muddle ginger, chai tea infused sweet vermouth, and spicy agave. Or the Hot Blood, which features jalapeno- infused tequila blanco, tequila reposado, and blood orange shurb.
Fava Bistro is the brainchild of restaurateur Andrea Rodrik, and features a menu that will appeal to everyone in your group. The Mezze Spread is a definite crowd pleaser with plenty of naan bread served with hummus, as well as baba ganoush, and tzatski. Some of the star dishes include the Saganaki- crispy halloumi cheese, drizzled with honey and lemon, and the colorful beet salad mixed with spiced pecans and goat cheese.
Pasta lovers will enjoy Paccheri all Uba, infused with zucchini. Order the Catch of the Day; tonight was a Pan Seared Sea Bass served with sautéed vegetables. And of course their Signature Medi Smash Burger, featuring a prime beef patty, American cheese with the owner’s secret sauce and hand cut fries.
Save room for dessert, a delicious Panna Cotta or the Tiramisu- it’s definitely worth it.
