Delicious At Home Labor Day Cocktails To Whip Up This Holiday Weekend
Wow, did summer just really happen? To say this season was a little different is an understatement, and believe it or not, we are actually nearing the end of it. We are approaching Labor Day weekend by whipping up cocktails instead of arranging a getaway for the holiday, or playing host to the traditional BBQ bash with friends and family this year. Let’s just say we are excited to stay low key with a little grilling and chilling and celebrate the end of summer with delicious Labor Day Cocktails at home. We have selected a few pleasing libations to shake and stir this holiday weekend involving spirits like Mezcal, vodka, rum, and tequila to help you make the most of summer. Whatever you decide to do, stay safe, and Happy Labor Day!
Chili Cucumber Sour
- 2 oz Doña Vega Mezcal
- 3 Jalapeño slices (muddle)
- 2 Cucumber (muddle)
- .75oz Lime Juice
- .5oz Agave
- Egg Whites/ Aquafaba
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Hard shake for thirty seconds. Next, strain mixture into a rocks glass. Garnish with salted cucumber/ jalapeño slice skewer and serve.
Gold From El Dorado
- 1 oz Doña Vega Mezcal
- .5oz Creme de Cacao
- .5oz Galliano
- .75oz Cream
Add ingredients into cocktail shaker. Hard shake vigorously for thirty seconds. Double strain into rocks glass with ice. Garnish with grated nutmeg.
- 1.5 oz Doña Vega Mezcal
- 1 oz Honey Cordial
- .75 oz Tonic Syrup
- Top with Club Soda
- Float Elderberry Bitters
Include all ingredients except for bitters and soda into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake all ingredients, and then strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with soda and bitters. Garnish with lemongrass stalks.
Camarena Spicy Ranch Water
- 1.5 oz. Camarena Silver
- .5 oz. Agave Nectar
- Topo Chico Sparkling Lime Water
Add ingredients into an ice-filled glass, and stir together to combine/chill. Garnish with salt + chili powder rimmed glass. Add lime as desired.
RumHaven Haven on Earth
- 2 oz. RumHaven
- 2 oz. Pineapple Juice
- 2 oz. Club Soda
Add all ingredients into an ice-filled Collins glass. Stir together to combine and chill. Garnish with pineapple or mint.
Handcrafted exclusively for Casillero del Diablo by Dan Magro
- 1 ½ ounce blanco tequila
- 2 ounces Casillero del Diablo Sauvignon Blanc
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1 ½ ounces blue curacao
- 1 ounce pineapple juice
- Flower to garnish
Combine all ingredients (except garnishes) in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with flower.
- 1 ½ parts Monkey Shoulder
- ½ part Drambuie
- 2 parts Chamomile Tea
- ¼ part Vanilla Syrup
- 1 dash of Orange Blossom Water
- Garnish with a Lemon Wedge & Mint Sprig
Build in highball glass over ice, lightly stir and garnish with a lemon wedge and Mint Sprig.
Guilty by Association
- 1.5 parts Reyka Vodka
- .75 part Apreol
- .75 part Lime
- .25 part turbinado simple
- Garnish – lime slice
Combine all ingredients into a rocks glass. Serve over crushed ice.
Grilled Apple and Pear Mojito
- 3 parts Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
- 2 pieces of grilled apple and pear
- 2 parts fresh lime juice
- 2 parts simple syrup
- 10 loose mint leaves
- 4 parts soda water
Place fruit in glass and muddle with simple syrup. Add other ingredients, except soda, and shake well. Strain over fresh ice, top with club soda.
- 2 parts Flor de Caña 7 Year
- 1 part coconut water
- .75 part pineapple juice
- .5 part fresh squeezed orange juice
- .5 part fresh lime juice
- .5 part simple syrup
Pour all ingredients in a tall glass filled with ice. Stir briskly until well chilled. Top with grated nutmeg, garnish with a slice of pineapple.
Cucumber Watermelon Margarita
- 2 Parts Milagro Silver
- 1 Part Fresh Lime Juice
- ¾ Part Agave Nectar
- 4 Watermelon Chunks
- 2 Slices Cucumber
Muddle watermelon & cucumber in a Boston shaker, add remaining ingredients. Shake and strain over fresh ice.
La Conga Blicoti
- 2 oz Frapin 1270
- 1 oz fresh lime
- .5 oz Giffard Banane du Brasil
- .5 oz Demerara syrup
- Garnish: banana chips and/or tropical flower.
Shake all ingredients (other than the garnish) and double strain them into a coupe. Garnish.
Tropical Rum Punch
- 12oz Kona Spiked Island Seltzer, Tropical Punch flavor
- 5oz Light Rum
- 5oz Fresh Pineapple Juice
Lightly stir and garnish with a pineapple wedge, cherry and cocktail umbrella.
CÎROC Caribbean Breeze
- 2 oz CÎROC Pineapple
- .5 oz Lemon Juice
- .5 oz Sorrel Blend*
- Garnish: Basil and Orange Peel
Mix CÎROC Pineapple, lemon juice, and Sorrel Blend into a cocktail shaker and shake .
Double strain into a Collins glass over ice. Garnish with a sprig of basil and orange peel.
(Makes 10 servings)
- 2 cups of Dried Hibiscus
- 2 tablespoons of ginger, peeled & sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Peel of 1 orange
- 1/3 cup of honey
- 6 cups of water
Sorrel Directions:Prepare Sorrel Blend by adding ingredients to a pot and simmer for 20 minutes, strain off spices, and cool in the fridge.
CÎROC Coco Cucumber
- 2 oz CÎROC Coconut
- 1 oz Cucumber Water
- Top with Club Soda
- Garnish: Cucumber Ribbon
Mix CÎROC Coconut into and cucumber water into a Collins glass over ice and top with club soda. Garnish with a cucumber ribbon.
Tanteo Sparkling Margarita
- 2 oz. Tanteo Blanco Tequila *
- 1 oz. Sparkling Wine or Club Soda
- 3/4 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
- 3/4 oz. Agave Nectar
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice Stir well and strain into a chilled Coupe Glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

- 1 oz. Watermelon Juice
- 1 oz. Lime Juice
- 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
Combine ingredients in shaker with ice, shake well and pour into a Collins glass. Garnish with a watermelon slice.
Tanteo Tequila Sizzling Citrus Marg
- 2 oz. Tanteo Habanero Tequila
- 2 oz. Fresh Tangerine juice
- 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- 1/2 oz. Light Agave Nectar (or simple syrup)
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into an Ice-Filled Highball Glass. Garnish with a tangerine slice.
