Believe It, South Street Seaport NYC Restaurants Are Worth The Trip Downtown
Lately, we noticed Manhattan’s South Street Seaport underwent a revamp. This historic district went through a major development and elevated its dining and retail offerings to customers partly thanks to the Howard Hughes Corporation. They created an area now home to over 400,000 square feet of space featuring an iPic cinema complex, shops, new restaurants and Seaport Studios– a two-level showcase for a series of emerging designers. The Lure Group also joined the makeover movement by opening Clinton Hall, lower Manhattan’s newest and festive addition.
Located at 19 Fulton Street, the bi-level high-end Gastropub features a large range of seasonal draft beers on rotation and an impressive burger selection. Directly across from the restaurant is an outdoor oasis enwrapped in decorative greenery and illumination called Clinton Hall Garden Bar . The relaxing ambiance along with the furnishings, create a whimsical setting and the ideal spot to enjoy cocktails al fresco.
Since it is beer season, Clinton Hall’s Seaport Self-Pour Station arrived just in time. Instead of flagging down a server or bartender, the self-pour station located outside of the restaurant highlights 20 craft beers to select from just a swipe of a card and pour.
Adjacent, is Ambrose Lobster & Bites where the only question remaining is, “Connecticut or New England lobster rolls? If exploring a low-key vibe, head to Mr. Cannon– a hidden speakeasy tucked away in the area’s charming cobblestone streets that incorporates a trendy cocktail list. In addition to cocktails, The Lure Group is operating Seaport District’s trendy Food Lab– A space where a series of chefs will wow guests of their culinary expertise offerings in two- week residencies.
This dynamic overhaul of Southstreet Seaport District is only the beginning. Additional establishments are scheduled to arrive including 10 Corso Como, by CHLOE, Jean-Georges, David Chang, Scotch & Soda, and McNally Jackson Books.
