With the opening of New York Men’s Fashion Week the iconic American brand Perry Ellis led the way; guests were pleasantly surprised upon exiting the historical Hippodrome Theatre elevators. With a beautiful panoramic view of Midtown, Manhattan attendees began to stir with excitement as they were preparing to view the long awaited Perry Ellis Spring/Summer 2017 collection. It was a #Very Perry presentation! Perry Ellis hypnotized all attendees with the unveiling of the Spring Summer 2017 Collection. Kicking off #NYFWM, the collection was nothing short of AMAZING! Lead designer Michael Maccari pulled his inspiration for the collection from “the current social and political themes of globalization”.
The crowd gleamed in awe as the collection presented flawless combinations of suede bomber jackets in Quartz, collage print neoprene jackets and ultra light seersucker separates. One could see the visual stimulation in the eyes of the photographers and guests as the collection unveiled.
The Spring/Summer 2017 collection showcased: An assortment of mesh t-shirts, botanical prints, marigold embellishments, tailored bomber jackets and tracksuits. Since it was an early morning show, guests were provided with the perfect pick me up of fruit infused water from Suja, and for coffee lovers, Grady’s cold brew iced coffee.
Perry Ellis stayed true to their legendary timeless style and comfort with introducing a plethora of options to trendsetters that shy away from wearing “cookie-cutter clothes”. With an implied downtown New York City vibe the #VeryPerry presentation was sure to please all style palates. Keeping their brand identity in mind this collection is able to transcend from work to a special occasion. As the opener of Men’s Fashion Week, Perry Ellis set the bar extremely high for all designers following throughout the week!
