East Side House Settlement is hosting the 17th Annual Gala Preview of this year’s New York International Auto Show.
It is the first week of Spring and the city’s social calendar is already in full swing. On Thursday March 24, guests will enjoy a private showing of the 2016 New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Center before it officially opens to the public. Many in the areas of finance, fashion, and philanthropy will attend in support of East Side House Settlement’s effort in college preparation programs for the residents of the South Bronx and the neighboring communities. The evening’s event, sponsored by Jaguar Land Rover will feature cocktails, a private dinner, a viewing of luxury wheels, and a live auction highlighting Jaguar’s first performance SUV, the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE First Edition. “It’s such a pleasure to partner with Jaguar Land Rover for the Gala Preview which provides a critical source of funding for East Side House Settlement’s college preparation programs,” noted John Sanchez, Executive Director of East Side House Settlement. “We’re thrilled to have the commitment of such an iconic brand to support the efforts of our teachers, social workers and experts in serving the residents of the South Bronx to provide education and technology training as gateways out of poverty.” If the SUV is not in the plan, packages including Mets Skybox tickets, accommodations to Blackberry Farm, and dinner to Rao’s will be offered at the live auction as well. The evening will also showcase an extensive selection of silent auction items including beauty packages, luxury accessories, and rumor has it- a Parisian getaway. Cocktail Preview tickets are $200 and Dinner Tickets are $1,000 and can be purchased online at www.galapreview.org. The New York International Auto Show begins March 25 and ends April 3.
