Oudifu debuted its bold Fall/Winter 2015 collection to the fashion crowd February 16 in the Salon at Lincoln Center. The luxury Chinese brand made it clear that the Oudifu woman is one who’s willing to push the envelope all season despite frigid temps. The color palette was based in cream and black with accents of blue, pink, rouge, and forest green. Thick fabrics like wool and velvet dominated the collection with silk making an occasional appearance. Some of the standout pieces included a green velvet romper paired with cream mink boots, a yellow dot bag, dress, and cape, and a pink 3/4 length overcoat. There was also a cream perforated hooded coat and quilted down coat embroidered with multi-colored fruit. There was a heavy presence of fur in a multitude of colors, and bold, ethnic prints were seen throughout the show. The accessories mainly consisted of backpacks and hobo bags with a focal print reminiscent of MCM’s popular shoes and bags. The collection was sexy, raw, edgy, and provocative with sprinkles of avant-garde flavor. Its bold use of color was right in sync with the themes of womenswear this season. Overall, the collection was thought-provoking yet solid and fresh.
