Gucci for Net-A-Porter

The Gucci For Net-A-Porter Collection Debuted May 12

Gucci’s Alessandro Michele created a 20-piece capsule collection for luxury e-tailer, Net-a-porter that is almost sold out. This is the first exclusive collection done by Michele as Gucci’s creative director and we are pretty sure it will not be the last. The limited edition collection features ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories ranging in price from $270 to $5,300. Gucci is considered one of Net-a-porter’s top performing brands. Therefore this is a unique assortment for loyal Gucci fans as well as a special introduction for new clients. Items including iPhone 6 cases, silk blouses, wool blend cardigans and the Dionysus medium floral-print leather should bag highlight an exclusive rose print inspired by a 19th century tapestry. And a heart- patterned jacquard blended with hints of silk are revealed in a mini skirt and matching jacket. In addition, the house’s signature heron print is shown in a sweatshirt with Lurex and striped trims.

Exclusives are not new for Net-a-porter as the e-tailer teamed up last year with Tom Ford on his women’s ready to wear collection and men’s ready-to-wear for Mr. Porter. Also, Net-a-porter collaborated with Chanel on the fine jewelry, Coco Crush– the fist time the luxury brand sold online. Just recently, Net-a-porter teamed up with Tiffany & Company on selling the iconic Tiffany T Collection, inspired by New York City on Net-a-Porter.com. Future designer collaborations will include Nicholas Kirkwood, Isabel Marant, Sam Edelman, and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi.
