Gilded Age held their Fall 2015 presentation on the rooftop of the Refinery hotel making it the perfect backdrop for their vision. Creative director Stefan Miljanic took inspiration from Marlon Brando’s youthful vigor and style illustrated in the 1954 film, “On the Waterfront”. The collection featured dark chambrays and plaids, similar to the uniform of dockworkers and naturally a Brando style leather jacket. Keeping with the brand’s aesthetic, chunky and soft knitted outerwear appeared throughout such as a wool melton/leather reversible jacket and a heavy weight knit coat with hood. Looks were layered in a variation of textures and finishes enhancing Gilded Age’s casual luxury style. Highlights included a plaid cadet bomber coat paired with a knit shawl sweater and twill pants and a faded wash leather/twill jacket layered with a fleece hoodie and plaid shirt worn with destroyed denim.
