Celebrate With These Easy St. Patrick’s Day Cocktails At Home
We all know that you are planning to drink to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. No matter how you choose to celebrate, we say a cocktail is in order. PROPER IRISH APPLE CIDER
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Proper No. Twelve Irish Apple
- 4 Cups Apple Cider
- 6 Sticks of Cinnamon
- 4 Tablespoons Nutmeg
- 10 Cloves
- Orange Zest
- Orange twist
Method:
Over heat, combine Proper No. Twelve Irish Apple, apple cider, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, cloves and fresh orange zest. Pour into a heat-protected mug, garnish with orange twist and enjoy warm.
PROPER APPLE & GINGER
Ingredients:
- 1 part Proper No. Twelve Irish Apple
- 3-4oz Ginger ale
- Lime Wedge
Method:
In a glass, pour 1 part Proper No. Twelve Irish Apple. Top with Ginger Ale, garnish with lime wedge and enjoy.
PROPER IRISH FLOAT
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
- .5 oz Coffee Liqueur
- 2 oz Cola
- 3 oz Irish Stout Beer (i.e. Guinness)
- 1 large scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream
Method:
Build in a glass, starting with ice cream first
SHAMROCK OUT KNOCKOUT

Ingredients:
- 1.5oz Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
- 1 cinnamon syrup
- .75oz house-made ginger liquor
- .5oz lemon
- 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
Method:
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Next, shake and then strain into a single rocks glass. Garnish with a dehydrated, cinnamon sugar lemon wheel.
PROPER PADDY’S PUNCH
Ingredients:
- 1 Bottle of Proper No. Twelve Whiskey
- 1 12oz Can of Lemonade
- 1 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice
- 250 ml Red Wine
- 3 Lemons, Sliced into Wheels, for Garnish
Method:
In a Large Punch Bowl, Add Proper Twelve Whiskey, Lemonade, and Fresh Lemon Juice. Refrigerate overnight. Add ice and stir. Top with Red Wine & Lemon Slices for Garnish.
PROPER CORNER PUNCH

Ingredients:
- 12 oz of Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
- 2 oz Simple Syrup
- 3 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 6 oz Lemon Lime Soda
Method:
In a pitcher with ice, combine Proper No. Twelve, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Stir well, then fill/ top off with lemon-lime soda. Serve in frosted mugs with a lemon wedge.
PROPER BOWL OF PUNCH
Ingredients:
- 3 Parts Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
- 8 parts Green Tea
- Splash of Lemon Juice
- Splash of Ginger Ale
Method:
In a large punchbowl, combine all ingredients together. Add ice when serving.
THE MAD MAC

Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
- 1 Part Mexican Coffee Liqueur
- 2 scoops Mint Chocolate ice cream
Method:
Hard shake all ingredients in a tin with crushed ice. Next, strain into 6 oz. Irish coffee glass and serve.
PROPER IRISH TODDY

Ingredients:
- 2.oz Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
- .75 oz lemon juice
- .50 honey syrup
- .25 ginger syrup
- 5oz hot water
- Lemon wheel with Clove
- Shaved cinnamon on top
Method:
In a mug, combine ginger syrup, honey syrup, and Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey. Stir in hot water and lemon juice. Garnish with lemon wheel with clove and shaved cinnamon.
DUBLIN 12 OLD FASHIONED
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
- 1 barspoon simple syrup
- 2 dashes angostura bitters
- 2 dashes angostura orange bitters
- Lemon wedge
- Cherry
Method:
In a lowball glass, add Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey, simple syrup and bitters. Add ice to the glass and stir together. Garnish with lemon wedge & cherry.
A PROPER COFFEE

Ingredients:
- 2 oz Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
- 1.5oz Boston Harbor Coffee Liqueur
- 1oz Mandarine Napoleon
- .5oz Benedictine
Method:
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and then strain into a Nick and Nora glass. Garnish with hand whipped cream and coffee beans.
HONEY HIGHBALL
Ingredients:
- 2 parts POWERS Irish Whiskey
- ½ part honey syrup (equal parts honey and water)
- 6 parts sparkling water
- squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- lemon peel to garnish
Method:
In a Collins glass filled with ice, combine POWERS, lemon juice and sparkling water, stir to combine and serve with a lemon peel.
THE BEE KEEPER
Ingredients:
- 2 parts POWERS Irish Whiskey
- 3⁄4 part fresh lemon juice
- 1 part honey syrup (equal parts honey and water)
- lemon peel to garnish
Method:
Combine in shaker and shake over ice until well chilled. Strain into an old fashioned glass and add a large cube of ice. Garnish with lemon peel.
BASIL HAYDEN’S FOOLS GOLD
Ingredients:
- 2 parts Basil Hayden Bourbon
- 1/2 part apricot liqueur
- 1/2 part fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 part Limoncello
- 1/4 part simple syrup
- Garnish with fresh lemon and sage
Method:
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with fresh lemon and sage.
KNOB CREEK BIG AND STOUT

Ingredients:
- 1 part Knob Creek® Bourbon
- 1 1/2 parts sweet stout beer
- 3/4 part of Demerara Sugar or Simple Syrup
- 1 whole egg
Method:
Pour all ingredients into a shaker and dry shake (without ice) to emulsify proteins. Next, add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into cocktail glass and serve.
