Monday evening SoHo was exhilarating and bustling with models and celebrities alike for the flagship opening party for Dsquared2. The 6,467 square-foot boutique is located on the corner of West Broadway and Spring Street at the former Origins and Links of London location. The SoHo store marks the twins, Dan and Dean Caten’s, third location in the United States with existing stores in Los Angeles and Miami. The New York store design is comparable to the one in LA and their newest unit in London, having an important effect on the twin’s Canadian background. Picture a woodland setting, antler chandeliers, all refined and large windows decorated with sophisticated draperies. The store spans 2 floors, and has separate areas for men’s and women’s. The ground floor stocks men’s tailored clothing, sportswear, footwear, fragrance and accessories, and eyewear for both sexes. The top floor houses women’s apparel, shoes and accessories, and lingerie. Dan and Dean Caten made an appearance at the store opening party and greeted guests including Mary J. Blige, Chanel Iman and Tyson Beckford before heading to a private dinner at Indochine.
