Daniel Silverstain RTW Spring 2016
For Spring 2016, Daniel Silverstain touched a little retro with a nod to the future with his eclectic mix of nudes and metallic. Whites, blacks and nudes were the leading colors with small nods to primary colors, silvers and coppers.
The early pieces were all-white separates, dresses and gowns with simple bright, primary-colored silk scarves tied around the models’ necks. As the collection progressed, the key colors were incorporated within layered chevron, cotton and snakeskin materials. Copper and silver-coated leather jackets were then added as the final layer. The clothing flowed and ebbed from lightweight, loose silks and chiffons to heavier textured cottons, leathers and jacquards. Heavyweight jacquard and leather outerwear was often paired with a lightweight garment underneath. Perfect for those days where spring season is around the corner, but the brisk cold hasn’t gone away quite yet.
