For Fall 2015, BCBG Max Azria recalled travels to Northern Europe, from the energetic city of Barcelona to the coasts of the Baltic Sea. The collection merged a tinge bohemian with edgy streetwear- emphasizing the BCBG Max Azria girl’s appeal to be independent and adventurous. The collection opened to shades of white, tan, and camel showing a range of embroideries, textures and prints including a cream printed silk dress with lace up detail and an A-line dress worn over a turtleneck with jacquard lace up detail and fringe. The rich winter palette then transitioned into merlot, ink blue and black. Layering is a key feature this season to illustrate sportswear and its versatility. Highlights include: A burgundy coat mixed with embroidery and fur paired with a black leather skirt with fringe styled with forest green booties with fur, and a wool color-blocked A-line dress worn over a taupe coat mixed with terry embroidery and fur detail.

“The fall winter 2015 collection luminesces as if caught in the blue of a full moon,” read the inspiration notes at Barbara Tfank’s presentation. The collection included feminine and stylish dresses that were charming and quite magical. Classic silhouettes in luxurious brocade and jacquard fabrics were colorful and sophisticated. Highlights including a ruby embroidered silk party dress with tulle overlay and a high-low box pleated silk dress in amethyst and turquoise may catch the eye of Michelle Obama, who is a fan of the brand.

Daniel Silverstain Fall 2015

Daniel Silverstain Fall 2015

For Fall 2015, Daniel Silverstain was inspired by his personal travels to India and its rich heritage and architecture. Focusing on the viewpoint of the “New Tourists” during the 1960’s, envision a modern take on the world and its culture. The collection featured at times vibrant hues, and textures and shapes combining to produce clean geometric silhouettes. The result? Looks incorporating the Jaali, a perforated stone or latticed screen, frequently constructed through the use of calligraphy and geometry. This was apparent in a leather shirt dress in Indie Blue and a black cotton trench kaftan, paired with an olive herringbone/leather combo shorts.
