If you own a computer, iPhone, tablet or any android device, chances are you have definitely scrolled through all of the emojis on your keyboard, so why not celebrate the fun characters! If you live in New York City, perhaps you were of the lucky few to fete the unique pop-up interactive experience thanks to the team at Pepsi. Pepsi created a tremendous interactive pop up just in time for World Emoji Day. The pop up situated in SoHo was designed to show how we have used symbols and imagery throughout history. The exhibit, entitled: Love: From Cave to Keyboard, Imagined by Pepsi® brought notables including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Chanel Iman, and Olivia Palermo and DJ Duo Lion Babe to celebrate the festivities. The exhibit explored the advancement of communicating through the emotional lens of love including crave drawings; smoke signals, sign languages and even silent film! We explored inspirational photography, Betty Boop and the astounding global language of emojis while enjoying Pepsimoji-tos and Cosmojis . Missed the exhibit? Don’t fret, we have some cool snaps to share and make sure to mark July 17 on your calendar next year!

Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel Throws Grand Unveiling Celebration

The tag line, ‘It’s Business Unusual’ was the experience Thursday evening as party goers celebrated the unveiling of the flagship, Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel located in the heart of the Garment District. The fête brought the world of music, fashion, entertainment, design, and culinary together on West 35th Street to view the world’s first digitally enhanced and living hotel. DJ’s Harley Viera-Newton, Timo Weiland, Alexandra Richards, and Franco V manned the turntables throughout the evening as attendees sampled delectable bites of sea urchin crostini with torched lardo and griddled pimento cheese sandwiches by Andrew Zimmern. Performances by Wyclef Jean and The Knocks even had supermodel Chanel Iman groove to the beat during their live set held at the hotel’s restaurant, Rock & Reilly’s.

It responds to human movement and features a living wall acting as the hotel’s virtual concierge, The Renaissance Navigator, highlighting exclusive neighborhood experiences and charms. We are certain this flagship will draw in the fashionable crowd this summer as it also offers one of the largest outdoor spaces in Manhattan. The 8,000 square foot terrace features a retractable roof, private cabanas and two-stocked bars.
