The Lanvin SS17 Collection Marked The Debut Under Creative Director Bouchra Jarrar

Bouchra Jarrar presented her first collection for fashion house Lanvin during the Paris Fashion Week Spring 2017 Collection shows. Known for her timeless style and perfect tailoring, Jarrar showed her vision of the Lanvin woman, discovering the paths of sensuality and intimacy, building clothing around the body and revealing the silhouette. As she noted, “I love to dress women, to reveal them to themselves, to sublime them, to cross borders between femininity and masculinity. Hence, a wardrobe which shall evolve and echo itself from one season to the other.”

The show opened with essentials that have won her praise: A pant suiting mixed with a pin-striped flowing silk chiffon shirt. Fabrics included silk georgette, crepe de chine, organza and asymmetrical lace, sometimes adorned with embroidered flowers and crystals. Accessories included jeweled shoes and handbags as well as water snaked leather.
