Bloomingdale’s Shoe Department On The Fifth Floor Is Where You Will Find The Best Designer Shoes.
Attention shoe lovers- Bloomingdale’s 59thstreet flagship is unveiling a reimagined floor for footwear labeled, The Heart Of Shoe York, beginning April 5. Positioned on the 5thfloor is what we now call a shoe lover’s paradise. Bloomingale’s Shoe Department is filled with a massively chic array of shoe-gazing newness like Jimmy Choo, Brian Atwood, Tabitha Simmons, Sophia Webster, Givenchy and Oscar de la Renta and exclusives created solely for the flagship. Now all women’s shoes are housed on one floor combining contemporary shoes that were found on 2, and designer shoes that were on the fourth floor into one cohesive luxe space.
The Heart Of Shoe York is a one -stop shop for sandals, sneakers, heels and boots. Speaking of one-stop shop, A Cobbler Concierge service is also available offering leather repair for men’s and women’s shoes as well as handbags. The 26,763 square foot space is designed in Bloomingdale’s iconic black and white marble floor. The space is decorated with round marble tables and open displays creating an inviting atmosphere. There are 9 salon designer shops including Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Jimmy Choo and Louis Vuitton. In addition, hot brands including Creatures of Comfort, Kenzo, Chiara Ferragni, Schutz and AQUA are featured as well.
Bloomingdale’s also formed a partnership with M. Gemi in a fit shop, where every Monday customers can get custom-fitted in a shoe and have their perfect pair shipped directly to them within a few days. “We are incredibly excited to unveil the newly renovated 59th Street flagship women’s shoe floor,” noted Francine Klein, Bloomingdale’s Vice Chairman. “Combining the luxury and contemporary footwear offering into one space coupled with enhanced services and a vastly expanded product assortment creates an unparalleled shopping experience for our customer.”
To honor New York’s newest shoe destination all month long the store will host designers in store happenings. There will be a meet and greet with Mark Badgley and James Mischka on April 6, Sarah Jessica Parker helping customers find the perfect style on April 7 and Brian Atwood stopping by on April 20. Even though the shoe excitement is on the fifth floor, the whole store is joining the fun by housing larger than life shoes designed by local NYC artists throughout the store. In the meantime, here’s a peek of what to buy this spring at Bloomingdale’s.
