Mark Cosmetics Celebrates 10 Years With Brand Ambassador Lucy Hale

Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale and Avon’s beauty and fashion boutique brand, mark. fêted their tin anniversary with a private event held at Trump Soho’s SoHi Monday night.  “It’s all about the view”, said Global President, Meg Lerner to attendees enjoying the unobstructed skyline views atop Trump SoHo hotel. The skyline was the perfect backdrop while DJ Chelsea Leyland spun tunes throughout the evening.

Hale and Lerner welcomed guests to the affair and introduced the new collections before cutting the birthday cake. “I’m thrilled to be working with the mark. brand and help celebrate their 10th birthday,” commented Hale, “mark. encompasses so many of my personal passions – fashion, beauty and, most of all, empowering women.” R&B artist, Elle Varner treated attendees to a birthday serenade before Hale blew out the candles followed by a special performance.

The Makeup Show

Now in its 8th year, The Makeup Show took place at the Metropolitan Pavilion this weekend, proving once again to be one of the largest beauty pro-events in town.  The Makeup show travels internationally once a year to cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Orlando and Berlin, Germany conveying education and attendance from leading beauty professionals focusing on career building with seminars on Celebrity Makeup Tricks of the Trade and the Impact on Social Media/ Internet in the Beauty Business.  The makeup show features over 85 top beauty labels including MAKE UP FOREVER, NARS, MAC, Stila and Smashbox.

 

 

Alber Elbaz Fashions Eyes with Lancôme

 

Beginning June 15th beauty aficionados will be able to get a hold of the limited-edition eye collection Hypnose Show created by Lanvin’s creative director, Alber Elbaz and French luxury cosmetics Lancôme. The collection includes mascaras, eye palettes, and false eyelashes and will be sold in the US at counter and online at lancome.com. The false eyelashes will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom. The hypnose mascaras including doll, drama, definicils and star are retailed at $29. The four complementing eye palettes are $51 and the false eyelashes retail for $35.

This is the latest fashion collaboration Lancôme has arranged since L’Wren Scott’s holiday makeup collection in 2010. This fall, a limited edition color collection with Jason Wu is scheduled for counter. Advertising on Alber Elbaz for Lancome includes a 90 second video featuring Elbaz’s hand drawn characters which goes live online June 3d.
