Amazon Fashion Served As The Sponsor of New York Fashion Week: Men’s
To officially commence Fashion Week a party must be involved, and so Amazon Fashion along with East Dane, MyHabit and the CFDA teamed up to celebrate the inaugural season of New York Fashion Week: Men’s. The event: A cocktail party thrown to unveil an exhibition by photographer Erik Madigan Heck was held at Amazon’s 40,000 square foot imaging studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Amazon Fashion along with the sites East Dane and MyHabit are the presenting sponsors of New York Fashion Week: Men’s and therefore the studio was the ideal location for the unveiling. The exhibit titled, “Beyond Utility: The Art of Menswear” explores the workings of menswear design by enlisting 16 iconic designers who are showing for the Spring/Summer 2016 collections this week.
Designers include John Varvatos, Perry Ellis, Thom Browne and Tommy Hilfiger. The space was jammed packed with creators, models, fashion influencers and NBA stars all reflecting on fashion and the images as an artistic expression all on its own. Attendees included Steven Kolb, Amazon Fashion’s President, Cathy Beaudoin, Joe Jonas, Amazon Fashion Ambassador, Victor Cruz, Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School, Richard Chai and Robert Geller. “Beyond Utility: The Art of Menswear” is currently on display at Skylight Clarkson Square, the home of New York Men’s Fashion Week.
