Ralph Lauren joined the NYFW: Men’s program by presenting his collection Polo Ralph Lauren Spring 2016 here in New York. For Spring 2016, iconic pieces were updated for the modern man, blending tailored detail, and technical and rugged fabrics to form a fresh, contemporary style that is oh so cool. Polished suits were shown in the traditional hues for men in tan, grey and navy yet they were relaxed, and constructed in lightweight fabrics.

Overall, the color palette of black and grey set the tone for the collection, which is inspired by the modern urbanite. Jackets and pants are designed from specialized nylon and styled with easy knits and sport shirts with ties for an elevated, chic take on city dressing.

There were a few varsity-inspired athletic pieces mixed in with denim and leather, and a jogger paired with a hoodie and tweed jacket to keep with the heritage of the brand. Denim had a vintage quality, with fraying and worn in looks, while military cargos in olive and tan are styled with plaid work shirts and performance driven jackets.
