The Alexander Wang x H&M Collection Has Arrived
We mentioned earlier this year that designer Alexander Wang revealed plans of his collaboration with fast retailer H&M at Coachella. The wait is almost over with many sneak peeks and preview parties celebrating H&M’s latest designer partnership. Recently, Wang feted the Alexander Wang x H&M collection with a bash at New York City’s Armory on the Hudson. The space, known as the hub for the city’s track and field enthusiast was transformed into a circuit runway where both male and female models swaggered the sport performance with a little street style inspired apparel.
The women’s collection includes 38 pieces of versatile performance wear that can be worn at the gym, on the street or to the club, creating the coveted athleisure wear apparel in today’s market. Expect seamless performance tees, tank tops and crop tops knitted in a pointelle pattern. Highlights include a scuba dress with interwoven layers and a cut out at the waist with mixed fabrics, and a grey jacquard scuba coat.
For men, the collection includes 23 pieces of street wear with characteristics and functionality of performance wear. The color palette is mainly grey and black featuring sweatshirts and hoodies with knit sleeves designed with a foam injected croc pattern. Highlights include a silver down jacket with a hood and side ventilation zips and a water-resistant windbreaker in black with a removable vest. The Alexander Wang x H&M collection will be available beginning November 6 in select H&M stores worldwide as well as online at hm.com.
