Try These Festive Champagne Cocktails To Ring In The New Year
You will more than likely send off the New Year with a little bubbly. This sparkling celebratory wine is also the magic ingredient in many delicious libations. To gear up for the festivities we wanted to share a few champagne cocktails to serve this holiday season. One thing to note is that the best bubbly for mixing isn’t necessarily champagne. Prosecco, cava, or other sparkling wines are ideal or if you really prefer, brut champagne is recommended as its not too sweet.
Chambord Royale
Ingredients
- 1/3 oz. Chambord Liqueur
- Sparkling wine of choice
- 1 Raspberry
Method:
Pour Chambord into flute glass, top with sparkling wine, finish with a raspberry garnish.
Brenne French 75
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Brenne Estate Cask
- ½ oz. Simple Syrup
- ½ oz. fresh-squeezed lemon juice
- ½ oz. elderflower liqueur
- 5 oz. prosecco or Champagne
Method:
Combine Brenne, simple syrup, lemon juice, and elderflower liqueur and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled Champagne flute and carefully add the sparkling wine. Slowly sink a Brenne-soaked cherry to the bottom.
Gin Mare Spanish 75
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Gin Mare
- 2 oz.Marqués de Cáceres Cava Brut
- 1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
- 2 Dashes Simple Syrup
Method:
Combine Gin Mare, simple syrup, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into an iced flute. Top up with Marqués de Cáceres Cava Brut. Stir gently.
E&J Brandy Ritz & Glitz
Ingredients:
- 5 oz. E&J Brandy VSOP
- .5 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
- Top With Prosecco (LaMarca)
- Garnish With Lemon Peel
Method:
Combine brandy and fresh lemon juice into a champagne glass. Top with prosecco and garnish with a lemon peel.
Korbel Holiday Punch
Ingredients:
- 8 oz. Chambord Liqueur
- 8 oz. Cranberry Juice
- 2 chilled bottles Korbel Brut
- Cranberries
Method:
Pour ingredients into a large punch bowl or pitcher and stir. Top with raspberries or cranberries.
Korbel Pomegranate Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cupof pomegranate juice
- 1 cupof Korbel® Brut
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of water
- 2sprigs of rosemary
- For serving: extra sprigs of rosemary, pomegranate seeds
Method:
For the simple syrup: Combine the sugar, water, and rosemary in a small saucepan and heat to simmering. Simmer for 2 minutes and then remove from heat. Let steep for 30 minutes before discarding the rosemary sprigs. Store in the fridge in a sealed container.
Mix 1 tablespoon (or more to taste) of the rosemary simple syrup, pomegranate juice and Korbel in a cocktail glass, garnish with pomegranate seeds and rosemary, and serve.
