Rent The Runway Has An App

Now that you have updated to iOS7, Rent the Runway, the online site for renting designer dresses and accessories, has an App for iPhone and Android users to install. Dress Match allows customers to take a snapshot of a dress they are coveting and match it to an identical or comparable Rent the Runway style utilizing their photo matching technology. “Our mission remains: to make dressing up as fun, accessible and convenient as possible,” noted Jennifer Hyman, CEO and Co-founder, Rent the Runway. “Through our Dress Match feature, users can hone in on a dress or fabric they love and discover all the similar styles they can rent for a fraction of the retail price. It helps answer that “Should I rent or should I buy?” dilemma before even leaving a store.”

Now, a user can either take a photo directly on the app or select an existing photo from their camera roll, which will generate a list of similar dresses that are available for rent, or add to favorite items list.
