Just a few short months ago Tory Burch presented her new sports line, entitled Tory Sport. It involves a line of chic ensembles to wear to and from the gym, marrying function and style. The brand’s second collection is Spring 2016 and we are so enthusiastic about showing up to yoga class now in one of the retro-styled tracksuits. For spring, the favorably stylized cult film, The Royal Tenenbaums, inspired The Tory Sport Spring 2016 collection. We could definitely see Margot donning the white/navy cashmere tennis sweater and eyelet tennis skirt. The assortment has a hint of old school but revamped incorporating enhanced hi-tech fabrics such as Coolmax in cashmere sweaters to present a combination of a sporty and pretty group.
Windbreakers are featured in bright hues of orange, yellow and royal blue, and tees have a 70’s nostalgia vibe in rainbow throwback colors and graphic prints. Tory Sport is broken into five categories: Running, Studio, Tennis, Swim and Coming & Going, (as in, your best street style to the gym), and has introduced Golf to the category for spring. A windowpane pattern is shown in cropped pants paired lovely with a navy short sleeve sweater and also as a sweater styled with golf shorts. And since Tory Burch is known for her creating stylish accessories, we would expect nothing less in Tory Sport. Backpacks and slides are designed in bold, bright colors in confetti, sequins and a splash paint print. Tory Sport is currently available at the pop-up shop in Nolita at 257 Elizabeth Street and online. Tory Sport is slated to open a flagship in New York’s Flatiron District at 164 Fifth Avenue later this year.
