Tatiana Pagés Launches Sustainable High-End Jewelry In NYC
Chilean-Dominican New York based designer Tatiana Pagés premiered the exhibit of LAIO Art, a collection of sustainable high-end jewelry with a pop-up gallery launch party held in New York City’s Meatpacking District. The collection, handcrafted from recycled materials including cardboard, paper, and plastic six-pack rings from soda cans were all on display to educate guests as well as encourage social and environmental responsibility through design. “ I find inspiration through the unexpected, noted Pagés, “I enjoy taking something that most people consider to be trash and turning it into something beautiful that is the essence of LAIO”. LAIO, is the abbreviation of Once In A Lifetime spelled backwards, reminding us to make sensible decisions to best support the planet. A portion of the sales will be donated to AID FOR AIDS, a non-profit organization committed to empowering communities at risk of HIV and global population at large.
