Vivienne Tam Fall 2014
New York Fashion Week: Vivienne Tam Fall 2014
Inspired by the hidden treasures of the Mogao cave temples near the town of DunHuang. Vivienne Tam’s Fall 2014 collection celebrated the beauty of the Buddhist paintings and sculptures by creating an assortment rich in earth tones of sepia, amethyst, and jade green interlaced at times with metallic gold and bronze. Dresses and skirts were featured combined in textures of sheer lace, and embroidery resembling the extraordinary patterns in the cave paintings. Highlights included wool tweed culottes styled with a two-toned cardigan with applique embroidery and an orange printed jacket paired with a brown leather skirt and beige fur vest.
