Artists For Peace And Justice Producing Four-Day Exhibit

The second edition of Fierce Creativity benefitting Artists For Peace And Justice will assemble with a four-day selling exhibition at PACE Gallery located at 32 E 57th Street beginning October 21-25. PACE Gallery will feature work from over 45 leading contemporary artists including Chuck Close, Jessica Craig-Martin, Rita Ackermann, and Kara Walker. Curated by Chuck Close and Jessica Craig-Martin 100% of the proceeds from the exhibition will benefit Artists for Peace and Justice. “It would not have been possible for me to ask people to contribute if I did not believe in the effectiveness of Artists for Peace and Justice and in the new template it brings to the charity world, “ noted Jessica Craig-Martin. “These artworks are the fuel for a simple but powerful weapon: education. It is a cause that I believe all artists should be involved in, as there are none of us who could refute every child’s right to a good and free education.” Artists for Peace and Justice is a non-profit organization originated by filmmaker Paul Haggis. Through its effort to encourage peace and social justice around the world, APJ’s goal is to serve the poorest communities in Haiti with programs in education and healthcare through the arts, providing full scholarships to students.
