Raise Your Glass To The Irish With These Drinks On St. Patty’s Day
May the luck of the Irish be with you! There is no denying drinking will be involved on St. Patrick’s Day. After all, it is one of the most celebrated holidays around the world. So why not skip the crowds, and the long lines and get your Irish on at home. We found 5 cocktails to sip while noshing corned beef and cabbage to help you celebrate March 17. Besides, aren’t you too old to drink green beer?
Laphroaig® Pot of Peat
Ingredients:
- 3/4 part Laphroaig® Select
- 3/4 part ginger liqueur
- 3/4 part pineapple juice
- 3/4 part lemon juice
- 3 dashes absinthe verte
- Spring of mint (for garnish)
Method: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a mint sprig.
Basil Hayden’s® Spiced Honey Ginger

Ingredients:
- 1 ½ parts Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon
- 1/2 part ginger liqueur
- 3/4 part lemon juice
- 1/2 part honey simple syrup*
- 3-4 dashes Bittercube Jamaican® #2 Bitters
- 1 lemon wheel (for garnish)
- 1 rosemary sprig (for garnish)
Method: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and double strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel and sprig of rosemary.
*To create Honey Simple Syrup, combine equal parts honey and equal parts water over heat until dissolved.
Knob Creek® Lion’s Tail
Ingredients:
- 2 parts Knob Creek® Bourbon
- 1/2 part fresh lime juice
- 1/2 part allspice dram liqueur
- 1 part Angostura® Bitters
- 1 part simple syrup
Method: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and stir. Pour into a chilled glass.Garnish with a lime twist.
AWOL

Ingredients:
- 1 oz Lucid Absinthe
- 1 oz melon liqueur
- 5 oz lemonade
- 5 oz sweet ‘n sour mix
Method:
Squeeze lime and drop into shaker. Shake ingredients and strain into martini glass. Float with 2/3 Sprite and 1/3 soda. Garnish with lime.
Cruzan® Emerald Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 1 part Midori® Melon Liqueur
- 1 part Cruzan® Aged Light Rum
- Juice of 1 lime
- Melon wedge
Method: Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass with an optional sugared rim. Garnish with a melon wedge and/or a lime wheel on the rim.
