Donna Karan Presented Urban Zen Fall 2016 Collection At NYFW
Donna Karan understands today’s customer. As her show notes from the Urban Zen, The Alchemist Collection read, “Everything is accessible to us- here, today, this minute, not six months from now. I’ve always said that’s how a customer wants to shop, and that’s show I’m showing.” Which is why the designer who created the seven easy pieces that changed women’s lives celebrated New York Fashion Week by presenting for the first time, her Urban Zen Fall 2016 Collection, in season. In season, IS the new season. The Alchemist Collection, available for purchase now is designed for the customer who travels all over the world, offering a timeless, modern urban assortment. The collection, presented in hues of black, brown and burgundy offers signature jersey dresses and tops that can be wrapped around the body in various ways. Like the sleeveless one shoulder scarf dress shown in black. The line allows for effortless layering, depicted in a long sleeve v-neck top paired with tapered jodphurs and an artisan knit jacket and scarf. Luxe textured cashmere sweaters and kimono quilted jackets make us wish for colder temperatures right now to cozy up to in beautiful fabrics. Suede leggings, and reversible suede –to-shearling coats are on our wish list this season as well as a goat hair shrug. To complete the look, hand-tooled belts created shape; while multi-strand leather beads signified this woman is ready for whatever journey life takes her. Urban Zen can be purchased online or by visiting the store locations in New York City, Sag Harbor, Manhasset, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
