Designer Nick Graham Imagines Life On Mars For Fall 2017
Have you ever considered what you would actually wear when you got to Mars? Not to worry, Nick Graham has you covered. The unveiling of his Fall 2017 Collection during New York Fashion Week: Men’s solved this predicament. To clarify, Life on Mars was the theme this season. Nick Graham was fascinated with space, and the need to explore the red planet of Mars.
The collection stems from the notion that famed astronaut Buzz Aldrin projected that we could land on Mars by the year 2035. As Graham revealed in the show’s notes, “I’m a true admirer of Aldrin not only what he achieved in the Apollo 11 mission, but also for his continuing enthusiasm to promote space travel particularly to Mars. Besides, Mars is the new black and we want to be on trend”. You cannot argue with that logic.
Some of the looks featured metallic sharkskin suits, and space oriented formalwear, like a mustache print tuxedo. Buzz Aldrin walked the show in a silver metallic bomber jacket that is sure to be a hit. For the man not ready to take that leap, a black quilted bomber jacket, and a tailored glen plaid suit are great for planet earth.
