Here’s A Look At Elie Tahari Spring 2014
If life begins at 40 Elie Tahari is just warming up. This year, the designer is celebrating 40 years in the fashion industry with accepting a key to the city by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a presentation of his Spring 2014 women’s and men’s collections during New York Fashion week, and an introduction to Elie Tahari Edition 1974, a limited edition capsule collection that includes updated versions of iconic silhouettes from the past forty years.
The designer notes the architecture of Brasilia as created by Oscar Niemeyer in the 1950’s as the inspiration. For women, fitted scuba dresses and exposed matte zippers illustrate a sporty, futuristic element. The men’s collection included a palette of blue and gray tones, all well tailored shown in blue blazer with matching cropped pants.
