Nehera Presented Their SS17 Collection During Paris Fashion Week

For Spring/Summer 2017, Creative Director Samuel Drira titled Nehera’s collection, Juxtaposed. The idea was showing a harmonious imbalance, keeping with the East meets West deconstructed silhouette. Fabrics like indigo-dyed canvas, linen and crinkled gauze placed side by side with crisp cottons, nylons and silks. The Nehera woman is not entirely into fashion, but has a strong sense of beauty, with a carefree disposition. For her, getting dressed should be a spontaneous collage of expression. The show opened with a beige deconstructed blazer revealing a crisp white button down with cut-out slits and relaxed trousers, and tuxedo jackets are slashed and wrapped around the body like obi sashes- dressing is an act of personal handwriting with basic staples. The color palette combined shades of white, sand and beige with hints of blue, black and red to show this collection is far from minimal.
