Oversized Chic At Kye Spring/Summer 2015 NYFW
Seoul-based street wear brand Kye debuted its Spring/Summer 2015 collection to a packed house at Pier 59. The trendy downtown crowd watched as the collection proved that a great theme could work for both genders. Throughout the show, looks for both men and women included heavy sequined detailing, black and white contrasts, leather, sheer cutouts, and bee embroidery. Many looks were pulled together with thick padded flip-flops or two-tone espadrilles and contained athletic jersey-inspired tops. Some of the most notable pieces were a 3/4 length coat and woven top, embroidered black and white pumps, and flame-print jacket, skirt, and shoes. The common silhouette was oversized yet chic. If this collection teaches us anything, it’s that there’s an urban and inspired way to show some skin next summer.
