Kick Off Fashion Week With The Latest H&M Studio Collection
Actress Kate Mara and celebrity stylist Johnny Wujek will make their move by dressing H&M windows in nine New York stores to kick off New York Fashion Week and to launch the H&M Studio Fall 2014 collection, which was unveiled during Paris Fashion Week in February. Additionally, their fashion selects will roll out across the U.S. in select stores and online. The duo’s unique sense of style and eye for fashion will be apparent when the windows are revealed at an exclusive event at H&M’s Fifth Avenue flagship store September 4. The window design will spotlight their personal style and love for New York City with inspiration stemming from black and white photography of the cityscape along with light projections, glowing bridges all bringing H&M’s fall trends to life. “I am thrilled to collaborate with H&M and bring this collection to life with the help of my best friend and inspiration Johnny Wujek, “ noted Mara. “It was a no brainer for us to work together on this as we both have a true appreciation for accessible high fashion and our favorite city of New York.” H&M Studio Fall 2014 collection mixes feminine with masculine giving a street vibe to the assortment. Slip dresses and draped tops are paired under men’s blazers, biker and aviator jackets. Fabrics include silk satin, cashmere, velvet and faux fur.
