Bergdorf Goodman Had The Exclusive Launch Of Rihanna’s Debut Fenty Puma Collection
When Puma signed Rihanna to a three-year contract as creative director, we only expected great things of the style icon. Based on her track record as the brand ambassador for Dior, her collaboration with MAC Cosmetics and River Island, endowed the 2014 CFDA style icon the list goes on and on. The Fenty Puma by Rihanna Collection that was revealed during New York Fashion Week in February will aid in the German athletic company’s growth. After the tremendous success Puma garnered for the singer’s Creeper and Fenty Trainer shoe styles we knew once apparel was thrown in the mix it would be a sell out. Which is actually happening right now. Luxury retailer Bergdorf Goodman had the exclusive first launch of the Fenty Puma by Rhianna Collection and many of the units are already sold out. The collection is not exactly what one would wear when working out, but more of a coming and going ensemble to the studio or gym, or for just pure fashion. The collection features a sport-influenced take on Japanese streetwear primarily in black and white. Highlights include a cropped black hoodie with extra long sleeves, white over the knee sneakerboots and satin parkas and a black zip-up maxi dress. We love that the collection is labeled Fenty, Rihanna’s last name and that she chose to use it for the Puma collection instead of her stage name. “I wanted people to want the product in a sincere way, not just because it’s a celebrity product but because they genuinely love it.” Don’t you just love her?! So here’s our edited list of faves that are still available. Good luck!
