The New York International Auto Show draws an assembly of enthusiasts charmed by the latest trends and cutting edge design in automobiles, including New York’s tastemakers and influencers. To fete, East Side House Settlement hosted their 17th Annual Gala Preview of this year’s New York Auto Show at Jacob Javits Center. The Gala Preview raised over $500,000 to support East Side House Settlement’s effort in college preparation programs for residents of the South Bronx and neighboring communities. Over 1,300 guests including notables: Omar Miller, Chuck Scarborough and Brooks Brother’s CEO Claudio Del Vecchio and wife Debra, received an exclusive viewing of the New York Auto Show before it opened to the public. Specialty Cocktails were mixed and sipped with names like Jaguar Ginger Mojito and Land Rover Stiletto, this year’s sponsor, while the well-dressed crowd took selfies with Jaguar’s latest design, the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace First Edition. It is the brand’s first performance SUV and was up for auction that evening. The cocktail hour provided guests sufficient time before dinner to peruse exciting items also up for auction including VIP tickets to Global Citizen Festival, tickets to the American Music Awards, a week stay in a Parisian apartment, a private happy hour at STK or a private cupcake icing class at Magnolia Bakery. Our eye was on the Private Villa in Cabo San Lucas- So close!
