Here’s Where To Toast The Royal Wedding Of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry In NYC
Chances are you were not one of the 600 guests that received an invite to the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19. However, we are sure you will wake up at 4am to watch the ceremony at St. George’s Chapel. In the meantime, it ‘s time to celebrate!
This wedding, like most, will be a moment of fun and bliss. Even though the nuptial will occur across the pond, there are plenty of folks in the US who are excited for the event. And in New York City, we love an opportunity where we can dress up, sip bubby and dine on British delicacies. NYC’s swanky hotspot, Lillie’s Victorian Establishment, has crafted a number of new royally inspired cocktails and treats to toast the nuptials. After all, Lillie Langtry, the highly successful British actress and socialite who was the muse for the spot was always surrounded in the company of princes, presidents, and entertainers. And just like Ms. Markle, she was celebrated as a young woman of great beauty and charm.
The Times Square location is stirring up a few specialty cocktails, ($10- $15) that are almost too good to drink. Beginning May 7 – May 20 stop by to try one, or all of the specialty cocktails:
The Heathrow Tonic Cocktail features Earl Grey infused gin, tonic and lemon.
Pimm’s Cup involves Pimm’s, mint, orange, strawberries and cucumber.
The Veil of Roses includes London Dry gin, Lillet rosé, sparkling wine and fresh lavender.
For dessert, sample the Lemon Meringue Tartlette. On May 19, the day of the wedding, the Times Square location will be serving up drinks and eats including a Beef Wellington Duxelles Mushroom Compote Puff Pastry. We know the couple selected a lemon elderflower wedding cake with buttercream and adorned with fresh flowers. Therefore, Lillie’s Victorian Establishment will make guests a part of the celebration by creating a delectable Lemon Elderflower wedding cake on this side of the Atlantic. Don’t forget to don your best Royal Wedding attire!
