For Fall 2015, Madewell took into consideration the transition of the season, and how one dresses for it by layering. Madewell’s head of design, Somsack Sikhounmuong and his design team channeled the fashions of London during the 1960’s- whether it was boarding school threads, including chunky knit sweaters and long skirts decked with highland tartans and army green jackets, to dark denim with leather. Highlights include cozy ensembles and classics updated with texture. We also loved the suggestion of blanketing outfits to add warmth and protection for the days strolling in the city and enjoying fall’s foliage.
