A new hotel called BKLYN House has opened in Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood. The hotel is inspired by the area’s exciting art scene as the talent has migrated from Chelsea, SoHo, to the Lower East Side and Williamsburg. The eight-story boutique hotel has 116 guest rooms highlighting a sleek industrial design that corresponds with the cool factor of the area. BKLYN House’s interest in local art is on display in the lobby and the adjoining gallery, which plays host to rotating art exhibitions in partnership with IMAGE Gallery. The lobby’s painting depicts a location map surrounding all the neighborhoods of Brooklyn while each floor has a street art-inspired mural illustrating the different areas. BKLN House hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and gym passes to nearby fitness centers such as Crunch and Planet Fitness. In addition to being in the hub of the art destination, the hotel features a business center, sidewalk terrace and rooftop lounge for warmer months, and pastries, coffee and other amenities from local business owners.
