W Hotels Worldwide cruised from the canals of Amsterdam to the New York City Waterways to fete the opening its latest hotel, W Amsterdam at the floating oyster bar, Grand Banks. The exclusive bash paid tribute to the grand canals and the way they have linked the city to rest of world, just like the W Amsterdam is positioned at the epicenter of the energetic and innovative city. A fleet of “WXXX sailors” welcomed attendees with sailor hats and specialty cocktails upon arrival while DJ Mia Moretti spun tunes from a custom DJ booth bicycle. VIP’s including Taylor Schilling, Chanel Iman, Coco Rocha, Erin Heatherton and DJ Harley Viera-Newton climbed onboard as guests spent an evening, rocking and rolling to beats on a boat sampling oysters and lobster rolls!

The W Amsterdam features 238 guest rooms and suites, each mixing historical details with contemporary traits. We are told we should check out one of the WOW or E-Wow Suites for the ultimate experience- Can’t wait! W Amsterdam is set to open its doors September 21.
