How Mindful Drinking Has Given Us Healthier Alternatives To Alcohol

We have noticed the trend of mindful drinking has gone way beyond Dry January. What was once considered a month-long booze free measure from imbibing endless cocktails during the holidays has turned into a year-round lifestyle. People want to wake up fresh and ready to take on the day instead of feeling groggy and filled with regret. It only makes sense as individuals are investing a great deal of time and money in their well-being, including physical, emotional and mental health. As studies have shown, drinking has been linked with a heightened risk of chronic conditions including liver and cardiovascular diseases and different kinds of cancer.

Many are now focusing on the big picture by developing a healthy lifestyle that incorporates alcohol in a more meaningful way. Mindful drinking does not mean one should give up booze completely, but to stay present and change the way you drink by enjoying cocktails through smell and taste instead of throwing back shots all night. We have listed a few delicious ‘Better For You’ cocktails that involve low-calorie concoctions, ciders, or tea that will help you have a healthier relationship to alcohol.
