Nike Opens New Unit in NYC’s SoHo
Last month, Nike opened a massive store in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood at 529 Broadway near Spring Street. The five-story unit spans 55,000 square feet and brings New Yorkers the best of Nike under one roof. It is definitely a retail experience not to miss! The building was originally the Prescott House Hotel that was constructed in 1853. To preserve the historical landmark, the new building suggests the masonry and cast-iron historical facades in the district and recalls the Prescott House’s window patterns.
Nike SoHo is a multi-sport space dedicated to running, basketball, and soccer. The store highlights Nike’s personalized services including trial spaces, product customization and provides an effortless link to their digital and physical platforms. The SoHo unit marks the 6th New York location for the sports retailer and incorporates some of the hottest products. The first floor houses women’s sportswear, and a lounge for customers to experience one-on-one personal styling. The second floor offers Nike by NYC: Personalization Studio for customization, while the remaining floors offer versions of “Trial Zones” that feature treadmills, a half basketball court and a soccer turf. Below are a few must-have items Nike features to keep you going all winter long. My favorite this season has to be the Nike Lunar Force 1 Flyknit workboot and the tech fleece aeroloft.
