CFDA /eBay You Can’t Fake Fashion 2013 Tote Collection

The Council of Fashion Designers of America and eBay have teamed up again to support “You Can’t Fake Fashion”, an initiative to raise awareness to consumers against counterfeits, which is on the rise. “Educating shoppers about the dangers of counterfeits is now more important than ever”, commented Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA. Last night, not even a snowstorm could stop the well-heeled crowd from celebrating the 2013 tote collection at EMM Group’s new nightspot Finale. The collection features customized one-of-a kind totes from 90 designers including Judith Leiber, Rebecca Minkoff, Prabal Gurung, DVF and Zac Posen supporting this initiative. Since this is the first time eBay has auctioned off the designer totes be prepared to drop a few bills. Or, customers can snag the standard You Can’t Fake Fashion tote for $50 on eBay at “Buy it Now” . The sale on both totes end on March25th at 9AM PT/12 PM ET.

 

MBFW- BCBG Max Azria Fall 2013

For Fall Max and Lubov Azria were inspired by the mosaic architecture of Istanbul and the stylishness of the Gypsies of southern Europe. The collection included rich hues of blues and burgundies, paired with black and soft neutrals. Looks included outerwear, found in quilted parkas, and leather motorcycle jackets. We also saw shift dresses and tunics in silk chiffon and with embroidery at times layered with pants. Most looks were fashioned with cashmere beanies , which makes this collection screaming New York girl.
