The Founder Of Cult Fave Hard Candy Reveals New Nail Line Smith & Cult

Smith & Cult is Dineh Mohajer’s new nail creation debuting this month in the US after being sold exclusively at Net-a-porter and select nail salons. Mohajer founded the cult favorite Hard Candy in the 1990’s while attempting to create a shade of baby blue nail polish later named “Sky” to match her Charles David sandals. The color Sky was worn by Alicia Silverstone when appearing on The Late Show With David Letterman to promote “ Clueless” and the rest is history. “For me, color is at the core,” noted Mohajer. The 30+ nail lacquer including a top and base coat retails for $18 and features shades titled Dirty Baby, Bridge & Tunnel, and Vegas Post Apocalyptic all inspired by and illustrated in entries in her journal, “Diary of a Beauty Junkie”.
