The American lifestyle brand Guess is bringing their trend setting denim to 575 Fifth Avenue at 47th Street in New York City. The 13,000 square foot two-story store is now the 4th location in Manhattan, and the brand’s flagship. Last week the global lifestyle brand celebrated the launch of this new gem on the last day of fashion week. Guests sipped champagne and nibbled on the French favorite, macaroons while admiring the layout.

It seems like only yesterday the three-zipper style denim, also known as the “Marilyn”, with the red triangle logo blew off the shelves at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street. “We’ve come a long way since designing our first pair of jeans” noted Paul Marciano, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Guess? Inc., “New York is the fashion capital of the United States, with Fifth Avenue at its epicenter.”  The 575 Fifth Avenue space is a mix of Guess heritage and high fashion. There is a denim rug made from over 500 vintage jean patches, and a handcrafted installation of over 7,000 authentic denim buttons on a black background.

The first floor houses a denim anchor wall in translucent red glass,  along with the women’s collection including merchandise exclusive to the US flagship.  Also available on the first floor is a beautiful display of accessories, including shoes which I have to re-visit with my gift card, and a European jewelry collection sold only at the flagship and Guess accessories stores.  The second floor is home to women’s apparel, including a new dress section and a full men’s collection.
