ABC’s Scandal star celebrated her first cover on Elle Magazine with a fete hosted by TOD’S and Elle’s Editor-In-Chief Robbie Myers at Il Buco Alimentari &Vineria in NoLita. Dressed in Lanvin’s duchess-satin one-shoulder dress from Pre-Fall 2013 collection, a studded gold clutch from TOD’S , and shoes by Christian Louboutin leaves no question why Ms. Washington has appeared on many “Best-Dressed” lists.  Notables included Iman, Joe Zee, the cast of Scandal, including Bellamy Young, Katie Lowes, Guillermo Diaz, and Darby Stanchfield.  Although Scandal just wrapped up its 2nd Season Kerry Washington is keeping busy as she has been appointed by President Obama to sit on the nation’s Committee for Arts and Education, and is scheduled to present this year’s Womenswear Designer of the Year award at the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards.

Ferragamo Celebrates Launch of L’Icona

This week Ferragamo brought the well-heeled crowd to 530 West 27th Street to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of its iconic shoe, Vara, and to present L’Icona, an oline project featuring a digital collection by photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank:  21 girls, 21 days.  The portraits capture some of the world’s most up-to-date, stylish women including Camilla Belle, Jessica Hart, Lake Bell, Lauren Santo Domingo, Olivia Palermo, Alexandra Richards, Sophie Auster, Elettra Weidemann, Susie Lau, Lauren Remington Platt, Amanda Hearst, Lily Aldridge, and Minnie Mortimer, all shot in their choice of Vara or Varina – a limited edition service which guests were able to utilize before it goes live to the public.   Partygoers including Eva Longoria, Nicky Hilton, Derek Blasberg and Philip Bloch sipped  the specialty cocktail  of the evening, Vara 35, while browsing a gallery of 21 girls, 21 days on the outdoor patio.  To customize and purchase your own iconic Vara or Varina by visiting

This year marks DIFFA’S 16th annual circuit of Dining by Design in combination with the Architectural Digest Home Design Show at Pier 94.  The design show held March 21-24th, shows the hottest trends and newest products in home design. On Thursday night, the Design Industry Foundation Fighting Aids held their annual gala dinner, co-chaired by Tracy Reese and Geoffrey Zakarian honored Isabel and Ruben Toledo and Rick Wolf, DIFFA’S Unsung Hero .

Guests enjoyed cocktails and table hopped momentarily before being seated to the VIP dinner and silent auction portion of the evening.   DIFFA’s DINING BY DESIGN initiative brings collectively  some of the most talented individuals in the worlds of fashion, interior design, art, and architecture to create an amazing dining experience.  Here a few of our favorite table top designs from Fendi, Ralph Lauren, Frette, and Architectural Digest.

Beer, Bourboun & BBQ Festival Returns to NYC



The fourth Annual Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival, is returning to NYC on January 26 at The Tunnel,  located at 608 W 28th Street in Chelsea.  The  BBQ festival will hold  two sessions: The Bacon Bash Tasting Session from  12 – 4pm and The Whole Hog Pig Pickin’ Session from 5:30pm – 9:30pm.

Guests will sample over 60 different beers and 40 bourbons from Master Distillers and Brewers from Internationally renowned breweries,  and Pitmasters from North Carolina, Maryland and Texas  will be on deck to offer hands-on demonstrations and tasting classes.

Narcisco Rodriguez for Kohls Designation Collection Launch

The Narciso Rodriguez for DesignNation at Kohls premiered its latest designer collaboration this month with an event at the IAC building attended by Katie Holmes, Emma Roberts and Julianna Margulies.   The room was complete with massive digital projections of the collection shown on the walls to give guests a little sneak peek before this limited-edition collection hits Kohl’s stores at 7am on  November 7th.   The Istanbul line features outerwear as well as chic looks for the office and for going out on the town.


Target Celebrates 50th Anniversary in Style

This month Target celebrated its golden year by hosting an exclusive event to say thank you to its friends and partners throughout the decades.  The celebration held in Chelsea at Center 548 included notable celebs such as Naomi Watts, Tony Bennett, Shaun White, and Soleil Moon Frye.  Guests bopped to tracks spun by Life of the Party DJs Harley Viera-Newton and Brendan Fallis. To close out the evening, in true Target fashion, guests were surprised with a special a cappella performance by Alicia Keys.

Speaking of Partners, Target and Neiman Marcus announced to press earlier this year their innovative partnership that would bring together 24 of the most talented designers in America including Jason Wu, Rag & Bone, Oscar de la Renta,  and Tracy Reese to create a limited-edition holiday collection.  The holiday collection will be presented at all Target and Neiman Marcus stores as well as online at and beginning December 1st.  The limited edition collection will include a mixture of more than 50 gift- giving items varying in price from $7.99- $499.99.  To celebrate the partnership, Target and Neiman Marcus are donating $1M to the CFDA, (Council of Fashion Designers of America), to continue their commitment in to cultivating design talent.  All 24 designers are members of the CFDA.
