Beautycon Festival NYC moved the party uptown to Manhattan’s Jacob Javits Center.  It was first time from its former home Pier 36.  The move was made to accommodate the nearly 20,000 attendees, talent and brands for the sold-out beauty event.  Following the Los Angeles Festival, it has now expanded to a two-day fete featuring engaging panel discussions, meet-ups, celebrity appearances and over 200 brands.

In addition, to the prestige beauty brands that were in attendance including L’Oreal, Maybelline, MAC, L’Occitane and Yes To, two new areas were introduced:  B-Well, and K-Town.  The B-Well zone fused health and wellness categories including supplements by Further Food, bath soaks from Pursoma, Kevita probiotic drinks, and snacks from Hippeas and Kind.

K-Town area highlighted one of the latest beauty trends, Korean Beauty, by bringing skincare brands and a bevy of beauty masks from companies including Amore Pacific, as well Sulwhasoo, Mamonde, Laneige, Innisfree and Skin Forum.

The two-day event also included panel discussions:  SHE-eo, featured executives of female founders and CEOs including Bobbi Brown, Cashmere Nicole and Lisa Price.  They shared their personal stories as female executives breaking through barriers.   A fireside chat with Paris Hilton led to a discussion on her successful global brands and the inspiration for her new beauty line.  A balanced beauty panel revealed the benefits of health and wellness, while Lifetime’s Official GLAM Master’s panel heard from stars Laverne Cox, Kandee Johnson, Zanna Rassi, and Mario Dedivanovic.  Beautycon Festivals are held all over the world including Los Angeles, London, Dubai and Dallas and have ignited an international trend in the world of beauty.
