Saks Fifth Avenue has teamed up with Fox’s runaway hit TV series, Empire to bring the coveted fashion inspired series to life. The luxury retailer will curate exclusive ‘Empire’ windows at the Saks Fifth Avenue’s New York and Beverly Hills flagship locations beginning September 10 through October 7. Empire, created by Academy Award nominee Lee Daniels who directed The Butler and Precious, centers on a music and entertainment company, Empire Entertainment, and the Dynasty-esque drama among the members of the founders’ family. The show stars Terrence Howard as Lucious Lyon and Taraji P. Henson as Cookie Lyon and their sons played by Trai Byers, Jussie Smollet, and Bryshere Gray. Empire has over 17 million viewers tuning in weekly for the drama, star-studded guest appearances and amazing soundtrack. However, what really makes viewers glued to their screens is the fashion. The collection will highlight luxury fashion brands including women’s ready-to-wear from Cushnie et Ochs, jewelry by Alexis Bittar, men’s and women’s footwear from Jimmy Choo and handbags and accessories from MCM. Actor Trai Byers whom plays the role of Andre Lyon on will also be featured on the cover of Saks Fifth Avenue’s fall magalog. Empire and Saks Fifth Avenue’s exclusive collections will be available in store, and online at saks.com to be timed around the series’ second season that will premiere September 23. In addition, Saks is set to host a launch event this September in New York and men’s luxury made-to-measure suiting events throughout September and October at the New York, Beverly Hills, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Bal Harbour and Atlanta locations.
